I was at the local Eurobrit show today and this car was there.

It has a Chevy 350 and 5 speed with a Corvette rear end and IIRC a Corvair front suspension. Apparantely it raced at Watkins Glen in the 60s but it had a 327 and four speed then. It was for sale but the price made me think he didn't really want to sale it. $40k.
That is cool..........and probably really fast............and really expensive.
Saw this ALFA powered TF at Britfest-NJ last month. It was sort of a low-key, unpretentious car with lots of patina: most folks didn't even notice the engine.

I like that TF.. I agree.. that car is perfect. aged to perfection
Question: Is the TF the least loved of MG's T series? I rarely see anything about them

I think it's unfortunate that the TF looks a bit homely beside the ruggedly hadsome TC.
Both of the cars above, rule, though.
The TF wasn't particularly popular in its day. The traditionalist square rigger T series fans didn't like it and it still wasn't modern enough for everyone else, essentially being a stop gap to the sleek MGA.
Nowadays many think it is the best looking of the T series, though I'm not one them (I've got a TD, which I think is the best combination of looks and drivability, so I'm biased).
