I think it's the juxtaposition of "seemingly done with great care" and "seemingly done while high on PCP" that went into the build that draws me to it.
The ugliest chassis they could've found... Well at least a buyer would know the motor is installed right. Lol. (Sarcasm)
I'll echo the challenge money sentiment. Awesome at that price point but not something I'd go out of my way to build... or own generally. I'd sure as E36 M3 buy that Fleetwood I linked the other day over this for the same money though.

I haven't been making much progress on mine. It'd be a lot easier for me to just buy this one.

my best guess is hydraulic handbrake for mad drifts yo. But he doesn't make any mention of it in his specs.

Hydraulic E-brake aka "dorifto" lever. The sign that at least one or more complete morons are involved with this build.
I like the gusset plate welded to the sunroof frame with the two little metal tabs.
But, but, but... Race car.

Its not a Race car. There's no racing in Drifting. There's no timing of runs, its berkeleying figure skating for "car people"
In other words it is essentially the modern equivalent of the "Ricer" nonsense that many of us grew up with, which came after the Mini Trucks and many other car fads before that.
Just another fad that people glom onto because they want to fit in and think it is cool. It will eventually die off once the outliers grow up a bit to move onto the next thing and there will eventually be some hardcore folks that will keep on enjoying it, but it will eventually go away.
Weren't we just talking about how you want straight door bars so they go into tension on impact rather than bending inward until they do?

I know, I was attempting irony, but I don't know the emoticon for that. The dipped door bar for ease of ingress/egress (I'm sure it's street driven) and the hydraulic brake give it away. The title of the post on TR refers to it as a "race car" with no mention of drift.

What's wrong with the hydraulic e-brake? I'm not well-versed in drifting and thought they all used those.
They all do. Too many people hating drifting. To be be fair, a lot of wannabes tend to butcher cars for being popular and leave E36 M3 like this.

Rally cars use them too....
Thank you GRM for not making your forum janked out with ads like that one. Tamparacing.com has just assumed a podium spot in the race for most annoyingly spam-ridden forum I've ever visited.

When used in Rallying or off-roading when combined with a proper build, its a great tool.
When used in drifting, its used by tools :)
