 Now I can act like the cool guy as I post all over the interwebz about how I'd "pull the trigger" and drop $81,000+ on a Golf, but I can't, you know, because of VW, & stuff.

The price is certainly the kicker, isn't it? The GR Corolla Morizo Edition starts at $49,900 and seems like a more reasonable option, price-wise, for a special edition hot hatch.

The "standard" Golf R has 315hp. So for $35k you get +14hp, a nifty exhaust and...ermm...specialty paint. Yikes.
