So I got behind at work due to some orders getting royally messed up. We have a show opening at the theater the week after the challenge, so the plan was to get the set done before I headed south. That's problem #1. Problem #2 is that the van apparently has a failing bearing in the front diff, so I either tear into that and lose even more days at the theater, or have a shop do it and still lose more days at the theater. Either way, it's not making a 2000-mile round trip. I looked into flights but that would only save me a couple days and cost more coin than I really should be spending.
I'm honestly devastated. I have really come to love the challenge and some of you schmucks aren't half bad either.
Which brings me to FloatingDoc. He needed some wheels/tires that I had. Doc, you still need them? I left them with Steve_Jones in the Baltimore area. If anyone is headed south and has room, maybe load them up?

Yes, I can still use the wheels. I hadn't followed up more recently since I had this idea that I would replace the truck when prices moderated. After hurricane Ian (plus some other financial setbacks) I don't expect that to happen.
However, the biggest thing is that we're not going to see you at the Challenge. That's a disappointment!
I appreciate the offers for help with a ride, and I did find some reasonable flights, but I'm just getting kicked in the teeth here at work.

I was planning on running them to York this weekend unless you want to grab them next week. I'm 3 miles from McCormick, 100% up to you
Even though i was not planning on coming this year, it sucks to hear someone eles's plans get messed up.
