alright you caught me, it's mine. Shameless self plug. Mr. Baxter you can delete this if it goes against the rules of the board, just trying to generate some interest.

Wow, it looks cherry. I hope it goes to a collector who appreciates it.
Wow, you are not kidding when you say you haven't driven it much. Apparently neither has the previous owner(s). 35 thousand miles in 46 years......thats only 761 miles a year!! Really nice car though. Good luck with selling it.
That thing is beautiful. It needs nothing done to it... except have more miles put on it.
What a cream puff! That sled should go into the "Cars with facial expressions" thread under the rubric "Space Age Brain Damaged Screaming Banshee"

Argggggggggg! I'm going to turn this into a craigslist rant. The car is still for sale. I've had overwhelming interest, I think, scratch that, I know I priced it low for the condition it is in, but I wanted the quick sale. A lot of the responses were genuinely interested people. We would set up a time to show, then only about 25% of the people actually show up. I wish I could charge people $10 to set an appointment time and they'd get their money back if they came to look at it. That way, at least, I wouldn't be completely out for wasting my time hanging around the house waiting for no shows. I took off the bit about considering trades because that opened up an entirely new frustration. The advert used to read:
I will also consider any small English, other European, or Japanese classics as a trade or trade plus cash (on your end or mine).
but then the only running offer I got was this:
Really mate? What part of that monstrosity is small, European, or Japanese? It's borderline classic and never mind the fact that it has a smaller and less powerful engine than the Chrysler you want to trade it for. Don't get me started on the straight up offer of your hasn't-run-or-moved-in-12-years-missing-title 1980 Corvette.
It's not just selling things either I have a desk listed too. For free. 38 emails in it's first 2 hours since listing. We've had 4 no shows and I'm betting on the 5th tonight.
Is it just me or does anyone else make good on their appointments? I don't even email or call the seller unless I know, for a fact, that I am prepared to buy or at least make an offer on what ever I have come across on the 'list. If I go out and find that it isn't want it seemed, I kindly tell the seller that it wasn't what I was looking for and thank them for their time. I don't used the "I have to check with my wife." or "the boss (meaning wife)." or "the bank (also meaning wife)." or "the bank (actually meaning the bank)." or "mom" or "grandma" or whomever else is conveniently not there.
But I guess craigslist is what it is, a free classified. There's no cover charge so they'll let anyone in.
At least no Nigerian princes have offered to by my car. Yet.

I won't ever list something on CL for free. I keep a minimum $10 price. Not because I necessarily care $10 about the item, but because the time, effort, and inconvenienced needed to organize my schedule to meet with someone is worth at least $10.

the desk was listed for $15 but no one wanted it. Not one email or call.

My garbage man will take away unwanted things for free. He never flakes. I don't even need to be around when he shows up, either.

Mine likes to issue a $25/occurrence fine and service interruption for oversized items (oversized = >50lbs. for a single item), or if it is out before or after a certain time.

Do me a favor... call Wil Sakowski of Sakowski motors in Wilmington. I used to work with him when his shop was in L.A. He can find a happy home, and probably for a lot more than $5000. Tell him that CurtisKraft told you to call.

I have bagged ridiculus deals on all three of my babe rally cars for one reason ... I told them from the begining "I'm not crazy, I won't waste your time and I'm serious about buying this car" ... then I actually follow through on my promise and the seller loves me!
craigslist is tough sometimes, though I've had pretty good luck myself.
For free stuff, we usually just put it out by the road with a free sign, and it disappears.
The only free thing I put on craigslist was a plow(in great shape). I just didn't want to deal with selling it. Posted the ad by 8pm, someone emailed me by 8:10, I responded with phone number, guy called me within seconds and arranged to pick it up that night.
He lived more than an hour away and was here in under an hour.
Guess he really wanted the plow.
I'm sure that if you put it at the GRM clssifed price range one of us would buy it, but that would be a downright insult to that beutiful car, and you. Good luck selling it and I hope the buyer take care of that thing.
This won't help you for the immediate future, but if you still have this beauty next spring you should bring it to one of the fantastic car shows they have at the Grill '57 in Garner. Put a for sale sign on it there and you may need to arrange a ride home.
