It’s that time again–time to go racing with our LFX V6-powered Mazda Miata.
This weekend, September 21-22, we’re competing in Lucky Dog Racing League’s Southern Dawg Delight at Carolina Motorsports Park.
How to find us? Just look for a GRM feather flag in the paddock. All are welcome to come say hello.
And yes, we’ve taken to heart the lessons …

Thanks! We appreciate the offer.
First session out on track for the test day went well, the car is performing well. With the car back at the paddock we are going to check fluids, top off fuel and get our next driver ready to go on track.
I know I'm biased, but that livery just looks so good.
There is some pretty cool stuff here this weekend.

Yeah it really does look good out on track.
We just finished our final test session of the day and we are ready to get the car prepped to go for tomorrow morning. More track photos to come later tonight.
Good morning from the drivers meeting.
The car is prepped and we are getting Wayne suited up and belted into the car for qualifying.
Wayne is out of the car after a shorter stint because of a yellow and then black flag due to a wreck. Tom is in the car now for the second stint and hopefully gain back some positions but it's still early in the race.
Looks like Tom's picking up a position every lap, with the fifth-fastest lap time so far. Go Tom! (And keep it together.)

So far so good! I had a blast in the car, and Johnny is out now.
Minor problem but we are back on track. While James was out in track the car lost throttle but stayed running. We got it back to the paddock and diagnosed it as an unknown throttle body connection issue we think due to heat. So we cooled everything down and added some vent tubing to the driver window to pull some more fresh air in the cabin.
Day one complete and the car drove itself into the paddock. One small problem, it made its way to the paddock 30 mins before the end of the race. We are having an issue with fuel tank pressure because of the swap but we are going to address that tonight and be back on track tomorrow morning. For now we are swapping new brake pads in and a fresh set of tires.
