I think everyone needs to appreciate that I managed to get this train wreck of a thread off of a subject no one will ever agree on and pointed it towards sushi and bacon, a subject most everyone can agree on. 

Well at least the sushi part was me. 

Well, I'm an ethical vegetarian, so......

My favorite lunch sushi joint has a "Fusion Salmon Roll" - Salmon, Bacon, Avocado, and eel sauce. They also do fried sweet potato rolls.  I love that place.

A sushi place I went to once had a bbq chicken sushi roll.

I was terribly amused at one of Johns concerts here in Saskatoon.  He launched into one of his "Family farm subsidy Yeah!" rants, but he forgot he was in Canada, in an agricultural community.  At the time, one of the biggest problems for Canadian farmers was the extremely high farm subsidies in the U.S. cratering grain prices.

His talk was met with almost total silence.  Then he played more good music, and we all had a nice time.

It doesn't need fake meat to be sushi. You can fill a sushi roll with cucumbers, avocado, and carrots, and it's still a sushi roll.

To come full circle, the new reports I saw seemed to indicate that it went off without violence, but with much yelling. To the point where his speech was drowned out and he left the stage.

I view that as a win for the 1st amendment.  You have the right to say what you want, but others have the right to drown you out if you are a racist asshat.  

Good on Gainsville for the emergency declaration, the limitations on anything that could be used as weapons, etc. 

I hope that anyone who needed to get to the liquor store remembered to go before they were closed.

He was wanting violence to become a victem and energize his followers. Such a shame it was a dud. He should go home and leave the adults to do their thing, we have cheap cars to race
