I'd be curious what the Fiesta ST will run. I did not fit in the Abarth I sat in at the autoshow which is weird as I am not super tall just 6'

Where did you find the 319 a month with no down? The lowest interest rate I see is 1.9%, comes out to 342 a month with nothing down...

31mpg if I am lucky. It has dipped down to 29mpg on a few tanks. You really have to flog the car to get it up to speed. But it spends most of its life at around 45mph on the freeway. If you have a open freeway and you keep your speed at 65mph you can get maybe 36 on a perfect day. Plus the gas tank is like 6.5 gallons.

Wow that's pretty pathetic. I get 33 average in my Celica ST and it's 15 years old. I've eeked out 35.8 from it on a long trip before.

My brain has been idling between Abarth, MINI S, FR-S, possibly VW GTI for next car (in about a year). If I could get over my Ford-hater ways, I would also consider the Focus ST or whatever the sporty goodness is called.

Curious if the long-term FR-S owners have had issues? My Scion friends have been passing rumors about engine troubles?

Between them all the Abarth is the worst car but the most fun that I drove if that makes any sort of sense.

I ended up in a manual forester with pressure from my wife. Which actually is turning out to be a really good car. With the sale of my Prowler I will end up building something small and fun, maybe a exocet or another 550 spyder.

The commercials are great, especially the new one:

define worse? I know that the Fiat, Mini, and VW are the 3 worst brands for initial quality.

I have heard the FR-S/BR-Z rumors but I don't know the extent.

The VW was definitely a step up in interior and refinement. The Ford is crazy fast and decently screwed together. The Mini my wife already has and it has been pretty bulletproof for the first 20K miles.

Mind you your talking to a guy that never keeps his cars more the 15K mile so I am not the best judge for long term reliability.
