Woot, Grm staff in our backyard? Sweet! I'm game, assuming I'm not working that weekend. But if you want a ride on a super fast coast guard boat, let me know 60 miles an hour doesn't sound that fast until your on the water.

There's an ASA race at Pacific Raceways (Seattle International Raceway) Wonderful race track, worth a visit if you can squeeze it in.

I have to say that is the weirdest weekend, there isn't much going on that weekend, automotive wise, both in Portland and Seattle. Just strange given how short the season is around here compared to other parts of the country.

So, any cool (public) events planned for Tim's weekend?

I ended up being invited to stay at Peter and Gayle Brock's home. Wow, what interesting people. Peter has been named the grand marshall for the 2010 Walter Mitty event. If you are not familiar with his work, check out: http://bre2.net/index.php?section=1

We did end up going to that cars and coffee event. Thanks John, for meeting up with us. From there we went to the Greenwood car show, which was very impressive. Walking around with Peter Brock and discussing design was amazing!

On Friday I checked out Richard Griot's (Griot's Garage) actual garage. Wow, that makes my shop look pretty rudimentary. The Subaru event actually started at the Music Project, so got to see some of that as well. What a great city and incredible weekend. I will be back!

Glad you liked it Tim. Next time around try the Portland area and come when there's an autocross going down. I'm sure we can get you a choice of vehicle to co-drive

I get to New England three-four times per year, but I have been coming for major events. It is rare that I just get to hang out a local event when traveling.
