This forum taught me how to drive manual. The best advice I was given was to learn how to engage the clutch with no gas pedal action
If the car has enough torque starting without using the gas is good advice. All four of my kids learned to drive in a manual from the get go. Its all about patience, and getting them to understand the clutch is not an on/off switch. easy engagement with an appropriate amount of gas. A big gravel parking lot with no other distractions is nice too.
