Now, what first? Everything needs replacement at the same time. Current tires have just enough tread left to pass tech at the local club's autocross; clutch is slipping; at least one front rotor is warped and the shop says the rear rotors won't pass inspection next time around...
Found out tonight that my new wheels won't ship for 6-8 weeks, so we can keep this discussion going for a while...
Currently, I have the Continental DW as my #1 and the DWS at #2...I doubt either is a "bad" choice

doubt that a rotor is warped … unless new and the QA was shoddy from the manufacture … more likely to be uneven pad deposit on the rotor … if there is enough rotor to turn, that will get rid of all the pad deposit, (should do both of them) and then bed the pads in well … shouldn't have any shudder after that … I've had to bed twice with street pads in the past … they seem harder to get correct than race pads for some reason
here's a good read about "wrapped" rotors from stop tech

In reply to wbjones:
A fool and his money are soon parted. A full order OF EBC Ultimax rotors and Greenstuff pads, front and rear, should arrive on my doorstep by Friday. And all the shops I've used, past & present, are reluctant to turn rotors.
In reply to danl318: It's probably more profitable for them to replace rotors than turn rotors.

I've got 2 places here that will … one an old school shop … the owner has been wrenching on cars since the late '50's … and the other is the local O'Reilly's
on my old Impreza I replaced the front pads and then tried to bed them like I do for my TT/autoX car … they seemed fine for a couple of days ..then they started the pulsing that most folk call warped … so I went to my back road and really gave them hell … bedded until I literally had zero brakes … parked and got away from the stench and let them cool a tiny bit, then drove home with as near as I could zero brake use (there really wasn't much there to use ) and parked it … the next day I flushed the fluid and never had another problem with them
