Damn, why didn't I think of that.....?!?!? Seems like a no-duh good idea to get the higher-end track crowd sales.

It's basically a slightly more stylish version of the widely-built HF tire trailer + Contico box (even has the wheels sitting on angled/diagonal panels like mine), but they're selling it for like 3x what I paid to put it together. I'm always curious what the market is for something like this. Will PCA or Corvette Club guys pay $1k-2k for a flashy tire trailer?

In truth, I much prefer the single-strap deisgn my setup has rather than having one strap per tire like that.

I dig the independent suspension design though, especially since it allows the trailer platform to be lower to the ground. That said, not sure "ride quality" really matters in a tire trailer as long as it isn't bouncing down the road.

That looks a lot better engineered and built than the HF trailers!!

I added up everything I had in my Perfect Trailer and it was around $500.

Add a little more retail-sale quality, subtract a small amount for buying materials in bulk, add an honest amount of money for personal labor to science it all out, multiply by a profit margin, and subtract business expenses (like advertising)... yeah I can easily see $860-1600.

I saw those a while back, I figure those are defiwntly aimed the high dollar track day crowd, that dosent want to roll up to the Ferrari club with a harbor freight special in tow. As any regular car guy can put together the HF special and bolt a box + pipe for wheels to it.

In reply to Gaunt596 :

The high dollar track day crowd doesn't want to get all sore and sweaty changing tires before the driver's meeting. I think the target market is fairly well off track day guys who live in condos.

High end bicycle hitch mount carriers cost the same or more. Looks like a deal by comparison.
