First, I need a return line, original car did not have one. So the thought was to place a T in the exiting line between the pump and the tank. After more thinking, not always a good thing, I have become concerned with trapped air being circulated around causing issues. If I had a dedicated return all the way to the tank, it would get bled out back at the tank. Is the T idea going to cause me issues with trapped air or will the air work its way out thought the injectors after a short run ?

Next, the fuel pump, looking at a generic Bosch 044 equivalent, this will fuel a NA Subaru EJ22, any reason why I should not go this route ?

Thanks, Steve

A tee will probably cause a problem because it will have an extremely hard time drawing from the tank. Adding return lines isn't terribly difficult.

Bosch 044 would be thermonuclear overkill for fueling, but (if a genuine 044, not a fake) will last more or less forever and will have so much overcapacity that even if it got badly heat soaked, you'll be fine. I did manage to kill one, I think from constantly getting air in the inlet making it cavitate or something. Installing a surge tank stopped my car's appetite for fuel pumps.

I second the surge tank idea. Circulate the fuel through there so the air can be separated properly.

Thanks.

Any recomendations on fuel pumps other than the 044? When searching summits site there are about 400 options, a lot don't list the psi.

Thanks again, Steve
