I know, it's like one of those Lost Connections.
You: Silver, lowered Infiniti G35 with an aftermarket exhaust. I believe the wheels were bronze.
Me: Guy out for a late-night bike ride. I was on a dark blue cyclocross bike.
As I approached your driveway, I heard you fire up the car. Nice rumble. Then you slowly, carefully backed out of the driveway as I passed by.
But when you drove past me a few seconds later, why did you have to coast? I wanted to hear that exhaust. (By the way, when you pulled away from the stop sign at the end of the block, what I heard did sound good.)
Wow, this story ended much better than I thought it would when I read the title of the thread.

+1
Thought there would be a ricer fly-by. Disappoint.
Maybe he was being respectful of his neighbors. Wouldn't that be a nice change?
It's not too often do you hear/see stories about modified car/truck drivers who are respectful enough to go out of their way to not offend people who might not appreciate the effects of their mods...What a nice change of pace.

So, one of a handful of recorded instances of a car driver being polite to a bicycle rider, and the car driver is still wrong?
Just like being married.

Seriously. Infinity driver deserves a medal.
Yesterday on the way home I saw a guy biking, clearly trying to get to work (not a pleasure ride), get completely engulfed in smoke from some coal rolling bag of E36 M3.
this thread makes me feel gross.
G35's do have a nice exhaust note

I believe you are looking for CL-Personals-Missed Connection. It seems there is more to CL than car adds with bad pictures and crack pipe prices.
