Smells scammy to me, though not very strongly.
This catches me off, though "Car was never raced and was driven easy." Who the HELL buys a Lotus if you're not gonna lean on it at least once in a while?
If all goes well next year will be the year of the Elise for me. Fingers crossed.
Craigslist scams are easy to spot. Warning signs on this one are a price roughly 50% of market value, cut/paste description from autotrader or somewhere, and not using the craigslist email relay to hide your email address from spambots.
If you were to email about it I guarantee you'll get a response along the lines of "The car is located in London but registered in US, free next day shipping with $1,000 deposit"
.......already flagged for removal......
^^^ up, just caught that... oh well...

The same sort of person who once advertised a Land Rover Defender 90 for sale in NY. 100,000 miles, never used off road. Why would you subject yourself to that punishment? For some people, it's all about the look.
