If I liked the looks of it, I might consider it......I never found the gm trucks of that era attractive though. Plus, IH > *

I don't find this one particularly good looking myself, but it seems rather cheap. It's not exactly close to me or I'd just go look at it.
I found a similar 52 Ford a few weeks back that I liked a lot more, but it was $7k.

The problem with these is that the market isn't really there.....you either find people that want it or you don't. Price seems all over the place as well.

So then it's not too good to be true.

If you don't like/want it, then the price isn't too low
In reply to ClemSparks:
All I said is that I didn't like it as much as the 52 Ford, not that I didn't like it at all. I need a truck like this, so it does seem to me that the price is pretty low, but then again pictures can hide a lot.

Well, its freshly repainted exterior and interior from the looks of it.....yet the engine bay was untouched. This would be one to go over with a fine tooth comb.
FWIW, the fords sell for more due to being better looking and there is a rodder following for them. Ones like mine will bring 7-15k if restored.
I was just being a smartass. The price does look low for the condition, but like was said earlier in the thread, there's no real demand. I would buess that may be due, in part, to the fact that a modern 3/4 ton truck can do everything that the old 60's trucks can do (and I love the old trucks, particularly this body style of GM) much better while being comfortable and getting way better fuel economy.
Granted, I have no experience with a medium-duty truck like this one...I do have experience with light duty pickups. They are very comfortable cruising gravel roads at 35 mph. 65 mph will probably drive you nuts...but it'll likely do it, if only just. Depends on gearing, but they were geared LOW back then.
In reply to ultraclyde:
It might, depends upon the gear ratio. My International will get up to around 60mph. And it probably has a rear gear in the upper 5.xx range. IDK for sure what it has.
