I have a set of 13x7 wheels with -43mm offset that I bought without any idea what I was going to do with them.

I am thinking about putting them on my Miata along with some flares but I think they might stick out too far and look funny with not much meat under the car.

What do you think?

I think unless you had some insane fender flares that it would look mighty goofy.

Simple. You just need some -1.5" spacers. I think you can pick them up at Kaleco.

Are those custom AR-24's??? They're pretty pimp.

"Bolt-on flares" is the obvious answer. It depends how much you love the car and how little you care about resale as to whether you want to go that route just to fit a set of wheels, though. They'd look sweet, although 13's are pretty miniscule.

Have em re-drilled to 4x110 and sell to an RX2/3/4/7 guy for boo-coo bucks!

gamby: I don't really care about resale, I am not planning on ever selling this car. Not sure if they are custom or not, but I have never seen these wheels in this size before, I have only seen them with high offset on a Corolla. I bought them for $50.

These were the kind of flares I was thinking of but I think that for something this extreme I should have something like 8's or larger to fill out the flare.

You could roll the fender lip. That would help somewhat. Tire availability for 13's might not be the best, though.

You could also "tuck" them in at the front by running more negative camber, but that's not a particularly sensible option for a street car.
