I saw a random YT video comment related to this and now I am curious.

When you tighten a torque to yield bolt "X degrees past (the stated torque)" - is it OK to keep using the torque wrench or should you change tools and use a regular wrench? Will it damage the torque wrench to keep turning.. after the click?

I never have. Always switched to a regular ratchet/breaker bar.

Edit- I'd only keep using it if it was one of those $700 plus digital ones that are able to do torque angle too. But even then....

I'm with Ranger50. I switch to a breaker bar. I tend to pamper my torque wrenches, so as soon as their work is done I lower the setting and store them safely away in their cases. Then the old mankiller3000 breaker bar comes out to do the remaining work.
