In reply to rslifkin : you’d be amazed at how many semi trucks have non functioning trailer brakes.
However, the likelyhood of you being around when I drive the few blocks to the boat ramp is pretty slim. Although a lot of boat trailers lack brakes, they like me use their trailer only to launch the boat in the spring and recover in the fall. We prefer it early in the morning while most of you are still asleep. Sometimes I get all the way up to 10 mph but usually that’s only in my driveway.
Our favorite hobby is watching newbies mess up so completely on Memorial Day. It’s especially fun when it’s a loadmouth know it all who reads the book and thinks he knows everything.
