Yes, much more likely. Everywhere but North America.
Would like to see a front shot. Looks like there's some 2000GT in the design. Also I LOVE that yellow+black honeybee color scheme. They'd better put it into production just like that.
Make the roof open up as a Targa or T-top.
More likely, if they ever produce it, the dealer mark up will be rediculus, killing enthusiasm for the car.

That is much better than the TES Sports T concept they had a while back that was thought to be the baby FR-S design...
Hopefully the seats are the same size as the FR-S ones, otherwise I don't know if you could shoehorn an aftermarket seat in there...looks much tighter than the FR-S interior. Limited seat options would be the deal breaker, but a Toyota I-4...heck yeah! Out with the finicky and problematic Subie boxer that's been the Achilles heel of the FR-S! Why still keeping rear seats though? Get rid of the rear seats - this should be a 2 seater, hatchback!
It's not as sexy as the FR-S, but it definitely has some character to it...I do hope this comes out...would love to test drive one and see if it could tempt me out of the FR-S, much less weight and Toyota I-4 with the same transmission are really swaying me (if the CAE Ultra shifter for the FR-S can be swapped directly into the S-FR...oh my I would faint!) Toyota, please make it and bring it to North America!
I dig the super basic interior. Reminds me of the MR-S. Not sure what that button by the driver's knee is, but it doesn't seem useful.

More Sports 800 than 2000GT in design...

Looks like the 12V outlet actually when you zoom in on the original image... Go to autoguide for more and higher resolution pictures:

What really is cool though is it has oil pressure and oil temperature displayed on the dash! Why does the FR-S not have these!

As a rule, all new cars are ugly. Fortunately, you can't see what the outside looks like while you're driving it. And anyone who does accidentally see it is driving a minivan or something, so their opinions automatically don't count, so who cares?
Knurled prediction: They ruin it like they ruined the iQ and then wonder why nobody is buying it.

definitely the reincarnation of the 800
Mike wrote: That offset steering wheel placement...
I don't think it's offset, there's just some odd perspective foreshortening thing going on from the wide angle lens they used. To me it looks like the bottom spoke is roughly over the yellow patch on the driver's seat.
Pretty cool. Though the name kind of confused me. Thought maybe this thread was about someone driving a FR-S in reverse or something....
But Toyota will ruin it by jacking it up, putting 20" wheels on it, and making it a strange mini-SUV thing because everyone wants an sports-car-sized-SUV, not an actual sports car, right? (reference: Nissan).
My vote is that it is only available with a CVT that locks max RPM at 3000rpm even at wide open throttle.
And it will cost $35k.
Want. But like everyone else said; if they make it, then it won't come here. If it does manage to get lost and find it's way to this continent then dealer markup, make it into an SUV, 20in wheels, yada, yada, yada, will ruin it all. Sigh.
As has been noted in a number of articles about this thing, it all looks SHOCKINGLY mass production-ready. There is virtually no concept fluff on it anywhere. We can only hope it comes here...
