The SCCA’s Track Night in America program will return for 2018, and the goal remains the same: host laid-back, beginner-friendly track events during the work week.
“While there are always tweaks and improvements to be made, promoting and projecting a culture of recreational motorsports will continue to be the program’s beacon,” explains Heyward Wagner, the SCCA’s Director of Experiential Programs.
Among the tweaks will be more visits to top-tier facilities, he continues. “In 2017 we went to COTA and Road Atlanta; in 2018 we would like to return to both, while adding three to five more pro-level tracks. These events will first be announced to past Track Nighters who will have the inside line to register. For COTA, we sold out two events–on the same day–without ever announcing the date beyond our tracknightinamerica.com account holders.”
Grassroots Motorsports will continue to support Track Night in America Driven by Tire Rack, offering all new participants a free subscription. As usual, we also plan to attend as many events as we can.
