Thank You
This thread is not helping my automotive ADHD. Not that I've been eyeballing a local-ish 05 V8 with a proper transmission.

Sorry. :)
Yeah, none of you guys are helping me. The only thing that keeps me in check is my lack of garage space and money. Otherwise I'd have an E36 Touring ala Rodan and a boxster special edition ala AAZD. I actually missed out on a high mileage Boxster SE for $11k that was on FB marketplace. I would've figured out how to fit it at that price.

I see early ones advertised for well below $10k around here. Not sure how needy those are going to be, though.
In reply to BoxheadTim :
Early E36 M3's? I'd look for one in the $12-15k range, that's going to get you a nice one that's been maintained and comes with a stack of records proving it.
In reply to docwyte :
Boxsters, not E36 M3. So far all M3s I've seen (mostly E46,with the odd E36 sprinkled in - doesn't seem to matter much for pricing) is in the high teens unless major mechanical components' remains come in a separate box.
Givne that this is the S197 thread, I'm also looking at those but not too impressed with pricing. Some early (mostly 05s) seem to be reasonably priced, but even late 4.6 seem a tad expensive.
This thread is not helping my desire to get a project car.........................especially one with a V8.
In reply to BoxheadTim :
Yes, you can get boxsters in the ~$10k range, but I'd defer to the GRM boxster expert AAZD as far as what to look for. I'd want a later 986 with the glass window top...
We paid about $10k for our Mustang. We saw several going for less, but they seemed to have paint and/or interior issues. Or other issues.
