Yes. I painted the RX-7 with TSC paint. If the bumper flexes it will crack. Someone used to make an additive to make paint flexible, but I haven't tried it.
I used an additive in acrylic enamel to paint rubber MGB bumpers and the polyethylene front air dam with no cracking problems. It was a Martin Seynour product.
