Really looking forward to seeing it run this weekend.
The fact that Tommy Kendall will be in one makes me happy!!!
To Racerfink,
They can run any approved Big 3 small block with a 500 HP restriction. They are trying to remove some of them leaving the LS3, LS1, and ford SB. I wonder with the challenger, are they going to approve a hemi for use?
“What’s so cool about the TA2 class is that the cars really do look like what they are supposed to be on the street. I’ve just seen the Dodge Challenger SRT body for the first time and it’s beautiful. I’m glad we’re going with a retro paint scheme." --Tommy Kendall
So, full-on tube chassis TA2 car with LS (probably) power and glass body that looks like a challenger. It's a pretty series with proper road race cars wearing silly costumes... and now Tommy Kendall so... WIN/WIN
Challengers may use the engine in Addendum A for 2014. Once a Chrysler engine is approved, Challengers will required to use a Chrysler engine by TBD
Addendum A is the GM LS3
Perhaps step one in Challengers in other and bigger series? We have Mustangs and Cameros running against each other, along with a large number of other cars. Since they are all competetive with each other, it appears that performance equalizing is pretty good for those series.
More cars is always good.
