Is there a resource online that you can get physical dimensions of a transmission ie: length, width, height as well as mild 'technical' information like the spline count and bolt pattern for bolting to the engine?

The 'joke' in the LH community was to swap a Porsche transmission into an Intrepid and have a manual transmission since the car was never offered with one from factory, but it never materialized beyond talking. I don't have the money to buy Porsche transmissions and hope it bolts across and fits in the available space.

I do know that there will 100% be adaptions required, but knowing of most of those in advance would assist in deciding if putting the money out for a transmission would be worth it.

Also, any other similar styled transmissions could possibly work as well.

Thank you in advance!!

I doubt you are looking for a transaxle this old, but I am playing with a Porsche 901 box I could measure for you

Other manual transaxles for longitudinal FWD are Audi, VW Passat and Subaru

Would be appreciated! If I have learned one thing with this car, it requires a major depth of research before pulling triggers to purchase stuff, I found that out the hard way with the Dominator set up I plan to install eventually but there was a lot of additional requirements crop up when I had started to to the install...

So any measurements would be a good start. I should have my second transmission (parts car) out this weekend I plan on taking measurements from to have them on hand.

One measurement I am definitely wanting is the Bellhousing to cv axle distance as that may be one of the more critical measurements
