So drove my caprice home fine, saw it was low on fluid. Added some and it started slipping. It's progressively gotten worse , today I decided to change the fluid and filter and I couldn't get it to go up the ramps 
As it stands now the horrid fluid is changed and while I can feel it shifting into a forward gear it's very very soft and just slips. Reverse works perfectly.
I adjusted the tv cable to tight at full throttle and it had no effect. Is there anything I'm missing before I pull the tranny and replace it?
