Trusted Allies

I just finished reading Per's column and that reminded me I need to find a trusted shop for my parents vehicles.

My folks moved to Apopka, FL a couple years ago. Mom's minivan is out of warranty now and they didn't have great experiences with the dealer.

Dad has a '01 Miata with a FM supercharger kit. He's doing most of the maintenance on it, but really doesn't have any desire to work on the van. I'm in PA, so that's too far to go for any of my resources.

Can anybody recommend a trusted garage in the Apopka area?

Find a NAPA AutoCare Center (www.napaonline.com). These shops must adhere to a pretty strict set of standards to keep their affiliation to NAPA.

CarQuest has a similar program called Tech-Net.
