Just an FYI, 24 hours of Le Mans is live on Motortrend right now. 23 hours to go.
current conditions are wet but drying out. Cars are switching to full slicks but there's still damp spots on the track.

Everyone was wiping out in the first few laps.
On the first lap one of the SCG cars locked up and plowed into the back of #8 Toyota.
The Alpine would spin out on its own a couple of laps later.

Seemed like it was just rolling back while she was trying to find a gear, either way not great. It's too bad we don't have an onboard from the other car as he came around the corner.
Seems like isolated showers are causing a lot of the issues right now.
Here's a twitch stream for anyone looking for a stream that has been up since the start, it uses the radio Le Mans commentary.

Actually I stand corrected; Tom Kristensen said she did noting wrong. Pretty sure he's ever so slightly more qualified than me to comment on the situation.
Interesting comment that a car sitting sideways at night is almost invisible. Makes a lot of sense now that I think about it.
This has been a constant cars going off. The commented that they are running a new tire and it may be part of the cause? Anyone know more about this?

If this were the 24hrs of Daytona, there would be international condemnation of the US drivers, coming from the drivers in the pits.
Interesting that they have a medical light on the cars. I assume it is attached to a g meter that if triggered you have to go get cleared by medical before you can drive again. I did not know they had that. I think that is a really good idea. I wonder if other formes of racing will implement that.
yeesh. 7 is Toyota's unlucky number. Kobayashi locked up the brakes into Indianapolis corner but stopped the car just before contacting the tire wall.
Last year #7 needed a new turbo halfway through.
24 hours of watching pit crews trying to watch the action on track just like us and wondering why the camera's are on them.

I was wondering how long they have to take the checker. I'm betting now that the winner past them, there's no chance.
Good to see Ben Keating back on the podium. Was hoping for the top step, but nice finish regardless. Hopefully, the FIA doesn’t take this one away.
