I've always had a hankering for a V12 - but I also love forced induction. So the logical answer is to get a twin turbo V12, right?

Prices on the 04-ish W220 S600 are pretty low. How bad can they really be? 4200lbs and 0-60 in 5-ish seconds with ~500hp and almost 600lb*ft of torque.

Sounds like a good way to eat up some highway miles, no?

Get a Supra or something with a JZ engine (so you know it will fit), grab that Toyota Century V12, twin turbo it. It's been done a few times already.

Well as long as money is no object go find your self a Bentley Supper Sport. I did not understand the need to a twin turbo V12 that does 0-60 in sub 5 seconds until I drove one. Now I feel that it should be a mandatory car component.

OHHHHHH and the electric door things on the exhaust that open it up over a certain RPM will make you giggle every time. You can not stop doing it. Kind of like picking a .. . .. Ok bad example. .. . Kind of like Richard Hammond and his turbo noise thing he did a while back.

Lmfao, wtf. Could put some Kumho Ecsta's on all 4 corners for less than that and have better tires that whatever POS runflats cost $1000

There are few things more expensive than a cheap V12 Mercedes.

USA Today called the 2004 S Class Benzes the least reliable sedans you could buy that year........so you have that going for you.....(not that the USA Today is the end all, be all for car knowledge)

Dude... How about two single turbo v6's mount fore and aft?

They're fun. Insanely expensive, but fun. The S600 achieves the same real-world speed as the S55, but in a different way. It literally surges ahead silently, like a mechanical psychopath trying to tear your face off. The S55 is a much different beast, one that seems almost typical. But I'd pick the S55 just because of maintenance costs.

In reply to m4ff3w:

Well, those v12's really are "gods motor"...(sorry LS Juan fanbois). Strangely enough, they also require a tax free religious revenue stream to keep on the road.

Don't try to use anything as logical as evidence to try to make your point. We're talking to a guy who voluntarily bought a Bi-Turbo.

A big part of my V12 lust, is the sounds that it could/would make. How do TT V12's sound by comparison?...It's hard to imagine it being able to improve upon N/A V12's.

I read this review a while ago. They must be quoting Mercedes prices for people that would only go to the dealer for repairs. But those prices look like a huge AMG "tax".

Sounds about right for a Euro luxury car... defer maintenance until vehicle is run into the ground and/or lease is up, then trade in on a new one.

I settled for a very breathed on E55. TT V12 is vastly amusing, but kinda like a yacht. Best to know someone, someone else, who has one. Change sparkplugs? Hahahahahahahaha This blown bent 8 has the same torque and has a bonus lovely redneck nascar soundtrack. E class is way more reliable as well, and some little bit lighter, and just stinkin fast... the wife and boy and I, we're really looking forward to an upcoming 2500 mile road trip in this sled.
