It might just be me, but an ad like this throws up the warning flags for me. Based on the location of the car in the photos, this obviously isn't the original owner. That fact, coupled with the lower-than-book price, screams "I can't afford to fix what this car needs!"

I might be wrong though, it happens occasionally.

Most Phaetons were V8s, just lik most Audi A8s were V8s.

The first series W12 had an almost 100% crankshaft failure rate, too.

Length. A V12 is 6cyl long, whereas a W12 is 3 or 4 cyl long, depending on configuration. The VW is 3cyl long.
