Two neat cars, what are they?

Ran when parked style photos.

Suspect the green car is a British Ford, pre Cortina maybe a Consul or similar.

The grey car looks like an Opel but it isn't, note no rear quarter window, maybe a kit.

Anybody got a clue

1st one reminds me of a cross between a Studebaker Hawk and a Valiant.

2nd one reminds me a bobtailed 2nd gen Camaro with that door/rear fender/roofline.

The second one is a kit, a Jamican I think it's called? Someone on the classic motorsports board has a really nice one built from an mga.

Good call on the Jamaican! I knew it was a kit but couldn't remember the name. Those are some seriously ugly tail lights(Buick?) on that thing! Here's a nice example:

+1 the taillights on the Jamaican are seriously ugly, but I think they're some kind of Ford/Mercury, not Buick. Somebody here will know for sure!

tail laights are older Ford... Galaxe, or similar

I think the taillights are 1966 Ford Fairlane, turned on their side.

I figured it out. It's a '67 Fairlane station wagon tail light turned on it's side.

Yup, there you go. I was thinking Fairlane, but the sedan lights weren't as skinny.

of all the taillights to use? Wouldn't vette have been better looking? or something off of a european car?

Lights off a Ferrari 308 would look right at home.

I thought the same thing.

MkI Escort tail lights would be a nice, period correct understated light in that narrow panel.

Early Chevette lights would get you the same effect, and might be easier to locate.
