1) I bought a used window glass to replaced my scratched up glass. The glass I bought has what appears to be professionally installed window tint that I want to remove. What is the easiest way to do this? I don't have a heat gun, but I do have access to the wife's hair dryer and clothes steamer though. Would that be the way to go or something else?

2) I have a used fiber glass topper for the truck that I would like to paint to match once the weather warms up. Is it as simple as scuff it, prime it, paint, clear? Is there extra steps when working with fiberglass? I've never used a paint gun before and thought this would be a good project to learn on. Can I just use rustoleum stuff from the harware store? Thats what I was hoping for. This going to be a low budget job, and the truck isn't exactly a cream puff, so perfect isn't the goal, but I figured I can do better than a maroon top on a white truck without spending a fortune. Thanks

Was gonna say razor blades and window cleaner, I'm sure karl's additional steps expedites the process.

On the paint, unless you are making surface repairs or trying to paint a light color over a dark color you can go straight to color and being a topper I'd just use a single stage paint. You'll also find the masking goes easier and the job looks better if you uninstall all the window frames from the topper first.

In reply to evildky:

Its going to be white paint over maroon, so primer will be necessary.
