Good news! It's a Contour, not a Taurus.
(yes yes, I know, it's a 2nd generation Mondeo and the Contour was only ever 1st generation Mondeo, but they're so similar that the point is valid)

and they are actually a brilliant platform I really miss my old SVT Contour. A great car.
In reply to Adrian_Thompson :
When the Contour came out, I really wanted one. I still kinda do, they're a good size and have respectable dynamics and feel.
They've all returned to the earth, though, in no small part helped along by people who didn't bother maintaining them because, well hell, it's just a cheap Ford so who cares?

Very easy. When you do an Autotrader search, look for 3 liter models.
The Jags had different top ends (heads and intake) compared to the Contour or Taurus Duratecs.

There’s a black SVT countour near me that’s been sitting for months at local business. Asked guy few times to buy it and he automatically says no. And it just keeps sitting there rotting awsy
I actually don't hate it. Overall looks like a decent job masking trim and stuff (other than a couple of the tires for some reason....)
My mother painted paisleys with paint pens all over our square body Volvo in the 80s. My dad lost his mind when we got home from work. I texted her this one. Haha.
