Jaguar's XK120 rally legend 70 years ago. To honor its legacy, the manufacturer turned its successor–the F-Type–into a gravel-spitting rally car that would make its ancestor proud.

In reply to USGUYS :

Needs more hardtop for that. It's sad that they won't come play in R-GT class.

I ran across that video earlier today and tbh i was semi confused wondering when the GRM content was going to cut in. I think yall should have at least put a text slide worth of GRM content into it, even if it was just a disclaimer that the video was provided or created by Jaguar etc. Take that for what it's worth which is very little. I still enjoyed the video.

Maybe the rally setting is making a difference but that 4 cylinder sounds pretty good.

In reply to Vigo :

The checkered flag decals and logos on the seats look like GRM's logo.  Close enough.

That is truth. Though I suspect Jag wouldn't appreciate watching it get stomped by a bunch of 20-year-old craigslist Miatas and e30s :D

With all their resources, would have been cool to see them build a REAL rally car and perhaps compete in it, at least in exhibition. Nothing about this tribute car would be legal for any kind of actual competition stage rally in North America or the FIA world.... Actually, it wouldn't even be legal in SCCA rallycross, as shown (with no hardtop).

I do appreciate that they had to change the brakes (read: downgrade to smaller brakes) in order to fit gravel tires, which only come in sizes up to 15" in most cases :) Same thing the STi guys have to do, among others.
