Anyone have a source for large, oddball nuts. I need a 1-3/16 18tpi in steel and McMaster etc don't have anything. Apparently that's a UNEF thread pitch. It's basically a pinion nut that goes inside the gearbox of an obsolete piece of farm equipment made by Lawrence Brothers Machinery.
Looks like amazon has a tap, so worst case you could get some bar stock and make one. Not cheap though
I think your best bet is to have one made by a local machine shop.
The end result is a part that will probably never have to be replaced again. List the specs (outside size/shape and what material you want) and someone here may be able to knock it up for you.
