Yes, its mine. I plan on keeping my "newer" car for a long time. I want to keep the miles off of it as well as salt in the winter. I'm looking for something a little bigger and more appropriate for winter driving. If anyone in the Ohio area has a nice 97-01 Impreza, let me know. I'm close to Mid-Ohio and not too far from Columbus. I won't be sad if it doesn't sell either.

I take it you read my post on the new CRZ review and are teasing me with this. I'll make some phone calls today and see if I can't find a place to put it over the winter. I'll post later on today if I've got good news. Serious.

My brother bought it off the second owner last year. The a/c was already disconnected, not sure why. It would need hooked back up and charged somehow I presume. The heater works good, however,the temperature knob is stuck right in the middle for some reason. The climate control is not cracked like most are.
Does it have cruise control?

Yeah, but I don't think it works. I just tried it once and it didn't. Either I didn't do it right or it just doesn't work. I don't think the car was ever raced. My brother and I didn't. For what its worth, I have a Carfax showing no accidents and a BMV report showing the ownership. The first owner had it until 119,000 miles, the second until 176,000, my brother for a few thousand and then me.
They never came with cruise from the factory, so it's probably a Dana unit that was installed at the dealer or after the sale. As far as the temp control, look under the hood under and to the right of the fuel filter for the water valve. It's probably frozen. Spray some PB Blaster or the like on it and it may free up...or not.

I never even thought whether the cruise was original or not. Interesting. If you look at the "Int2" pic and blow it up, you can see it behind the turn signal lever. I never really cared for cruise. Thanks for the tip about the water valve.
