I was given a used flowmaster with 1 inlet and 2 outlets I only need 1 outlet. Could I cap the other one off and not hurt flow? Yes it's is for my challenge car free junk is the best.

Great question Stan. Unfortunately I don't know the answer either but I have wondered the very same thing a few time over the years. So now there are two of us waiting for an answer.

the question is why would you want to...??? even if it didn't create any additional flow restriction.... it couldn't possibly help with flow....

If youre needing to mount the muffler near the middle of the car and then run the rest of the exhaust back further and thats why youre wanting to cap it, can you get creative with some $2 exhaust bends from Snot o zone and a welder, make a Y pipe for it and let the exhaust go on its merry way from there? just a thought.

why not just buy the muffler you need? how much do they cost?

You should be fine capping one of the outlets off. Take a look at the cutaway photo on Flowmaster's site:
