I was just thinking,
NSX vs 911 in the ~$20K area, which would you buy GRM?
Edit: The idea is to have a car with the engine behind you.

Mr. NA6_MSM, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Yup they are getting in the $20's now as are 911s.
Ehhhh... the NSX is more supercar-ish i think. In performance, slightly, and in a huge way in the looks department.
I'd still take the nicest $20k 964 C2 i could find, thanks.
In reply to Swank Force One:
yeah this is more stylistic exercise vs a functional one. Keeping with the new GRM trend.
I picked 964, but the back seats were a huge factor for me. I need to be able to shove kids in the car. As much as I love my car, the NSX is way cooler, and that's pretty much why you buy a supercar, yes?
I really don't consider a 911 a "super-car". To me they are just a sports car. Now a ruff turbo or even a 930 turbo I think do fall in to this category
I offer up the 928s4 or even a 928GTS. You can get decent examples in the 20K range and they were super cars of there day.
To be frank, a 928 seems more "GT" to me. Between NSX and 911...I'd say, which 911? I have a 964C4 that seems to be a fantastic, fun, quick DD with a back seat. I love looking at it, driving it and listening to it. But if someone offered to trade an NSX? Done.
I personally know of a couple REALLY nice, sorted AC 911's that would go for $20k. A $20k nsx is generally a turd from what I can tell. Throw another few $k at it, and the choices get a lot more interesting. From a "I'm probably going to drive it a lot and need it to be reliable and easy to wrench on" standpoint, I'd probably lean more toward Elise + supercharger...or exige.
NSX was my dream car in that $20-$30k range. It might still be. But the Lotus has the parts availability/reliability, and the porsche is way more practical as a commuter.
I'm sure that was totally not helpful. But it's something I think about daily. So like, I feel your pain.
NSX hands down - really cool cars. Not particularly fast by today's standards - my stock appearance turbo Fiero used to blow one off routinely on a local highway driving home after work until the poor disheartened NSX owner quit trying, but nonetheless theyt are a car I have always had a hankering to own. The power issue can be addressed.....

Easy there. I'm undecided. Ingress/egress on the Elise/Exige is definitely an issue for me.
It's not gonna get driven if I can't get my fat, bad-back havin ass in & out. The 911 is the clear winner in this category.
911s are like flies around here (SF Bay Area), I see more Ferraris than NSXs. It's an icon. No contest.
Plan on driving it everyday? These guys did and loved it: http://www.edmunds.com/acura/nsx/1991/long-term-road-test/
Definitely an NSX. I have a suspicion running costs might be slightly lower but it is certainly a much better handling car. If you can't quite swing an NSX, a S2000 is a good budget alternative and technically, it was a mid-engine car.
