xceler8x, single on a miata may be easier but plumbing a single on a V is complex to say the least... hanging 2 small ones off the end oo the header ( assuming internal wastegate) could make plumbing stupid easy....

I'm considering a similar setup for my '70 Mustang now... 5.0 GT40 headed Explorer motor with a couple Turbocoupe IHIs or T3s, maybe 7-9 psi of boost.

I would vote for a single Holset or a MPT70. You can get a new MPT70 for under $500 and make close to 500hp all day. A single Holset would not be far behind.

what about two subaru wrx 2.0 turbos? they had a small amount of lag on the 2.0, so they'd spool super quick with half a 5.0, and run out of steam early, right around the 5.0 redline?
