My CTS-V drivers' side seat belt is triple nasty.....mold ....damp....discolored. Yes this sled has a sunroof, and other spots are showing moisture/mold not in what I'd consider close proximity to the sunroof. Showing 172K on the clock and has not been driven regularly (weekly). Go!
Make sure the sunroof drain tubes are not clogged and running moisture into the body shell. If water is in fact being trapped, it could be running down to places you don't expect.
Stu ..why is there moisture /mold on the drivers side door panel adjacent to the dash board.?

Is there a sunroof drain tube running down the A pillars? I do not know the V, but I have seen drains going down both A pillars and both C pillars for draining to each corner.
Sorry I've not done my due diligence on me 'drains' . but to have dampness /mold on the drivers side door panel and a stinky/funky "B" pillar (drivers'side)....I'm just kinda bummfuzzled at this time.....effen stinkx ......late .....tomorrow.....B pillar(driver's side) panels AFTER deactivating the berkin' air bag .....night y'all.

Mold on the door panel could indicate the moisture barrier behind it is loose or torn or missing. Take off the door panel and check.
Sounds like the front drain is clogged and the rear drivers drain may be seperated.
Yep these cars suffered from the sunroof drains clogging. My buddy had one and his headliner had stains by the rear window.
I've printed out my "alldatadiy" repair sheets and am curious to see this drain nonsense. Also a new seat belt is in the works (current one shows fraying).....ya think?
