Years ago a friend won a car, I don't remember what it was, some sort of cheap 3 cylinder import as I recall. Her plate was I1IT.
I think that for the next car I win, I'll get 4TH11.

If I wasn't selling it I would try to get "ESGUZZI" for my Moto Guzzi. I thought that was clever
Maybe I'm a hypocrite but I'm SUPER over the electric themed plates on Teslas. Dime a dozen around here.
Maybe unimaginative, but I entertain myself with WW2 fighter designations.
The Miata has A6MZEKE, the E21 has BF109G.
A couple guys have commented on the Miata's plate (they knew what it was), nobody yet on the bimmer.
Obscure, to be sure....
I'm a horn player - I've had TENRSAX on my AW11 for 25 years now. Tried to get ALTOSAX, BARISAX, SOPRSAX and SAXMAN for the other cars, but they were all taken the last time I tried. Maybe some day. Hasn't gotten me any gigs, but has gotten some nice comments.

Nice!
Three of my vehicles have aviation themed plates. MY F16N, I was a crew chief on them. MY EA6B (electronic warfare aircraft) mounted on our EV. EJECTX3, I was an ejection seat tech and there was 3 aircraft ejections using my seats.

I tried to get CON BRIO, I thought it would be good.
I also thought about Allegro, then a friend pointed out that Allegro ma non troppo would be better.
This was also last week. Can anyone from Delaware tell me if they have lower case letters or was my man just rocking a fake plate?
Blurry, I know. Light turned green as I took that, and we never ended up stopped together after that, but it said "Mr. Long", not MR LONG.
Not a real plate, but...
From many, many years ago.
This is the plate I had on my BMW race car until it became eligible for antique tags. Definitely appropriate on the race car but not really accurate for the Mustang.
All of these plates are retired now and live on my garage wall.
Back in the day Illinois would let you buy one cheaply if it had a number in it. All letters was higher priced.
My wife's name is Melinda but everyone calls her Mel instead. To fit the six letter max I had to be creative.
I'm known to love my cars......
I had "DEBT" on my Cayman because its the first car I had ever financed.
On the dislike side, I saw someone with "VEGAN23" on their jeep today, along with about 30 other vegan stickers
My C6. Big fan of Point Break (the OG, that remake sucked) and often used that line when someone at a social gathering would leave to get themselves another beverage and you wanted one (or 2), as well.
My friend bought an 04 Mach 1 and told me he's getting a plate and I correctly guessed it to be 767 MPH.
I'm really pleased with my own choice of MEEJEEPS for my Cherokee. "A Meejeeps isn't meant to live this long"
I saw a GL350 with OH LORD and as I got closer I could read the frame "won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz"
Double entendre on our NC... referring back to the old Mazda commercials, and the size of the 'boat' NC.
Had this on a couple of 4 doors years ago...
Many years back I had a customer with a ZR1 Corvette and his plate was QKPHKR. He had it on for years and then one day he rec'd a letter from PennDot recalling his plate. Apparently a female legislator was behind him and an occupant in her vehicle laughed when they realized what it meant. She made a call to Harrisburg and a letter was sent. He quickly reported the plate as stolen and I think it went up on the wall in his shop. I can not confirm nor deny the current existance of the plate, it's just a rumor as far as I know.
My parents have LIVNLIF on their car for decades .
This one was fun, and apparently random-
Another favorite was "5EK4RB0N" Try reading it in your mirror.
I read fun stories about "NULL" or "NO PLATE" where they were trying to get cute and have fines thrown out over clerical errors and instead ended up having every fine with a real null or no plate attributed to them.
I tend to like stuff with at least 2 degrees of separation though. Someone who puts "mustang" or "v8" on their mustang I tend to see as an unimaginative person. It has to be something only someone in the know would understand.
