Today was vehicle day at my grandsons' school today. The boys asked if we could bring the Abomination. My wife got to do the talking, I did the hauling.
The car is now covered with little fingerprints.
If you get the chance to do one, do it. The kids loved it.
The kids got a hoot out of this as well.

I'm an adult and I think air boats are rad. I can see why they would.
That's really cool. My kids would have loved that.

That looks like it was a fun event. They didn't have cool stuff like that when I went to school.

That looks like an awesome event. I too am an adult that likes airboats. I have a couple RC ones as the real ones are kinda big and $$$. Nitro RC airboats are fun too
See, this is something I love! You are helping a new generation APPRECIATE vehicles, not despise them! Good on you sir! May you get extra cake in life.

The closest we came to this was a carwash day when I brought the rallykar down. The kids thought that was a hoot but nothing like this... heck I woulda wanted to do see this!
I'm sitting here thinking how great it will be when I can do this with my son. But then I think how disappointed he'll be when I bring the Versa. I guess I could work the nostalgic angle since I have crank windows, pretty confident no kid these days have seen those.

We did one at another school a couple of years ago, and the kids had more fun playing in my enclosed trailer than they did looking at the car. You never can tell what will appeal to children.
Seen some events like this. They had one near us- called "Touch A Truck". Kids got to get in and climb around all sorts of vehicles- not just trucks, but race cars, tractors, Helicopters, etc. Our whole family had a blast. And it was free.

Good point, I think this falls under the whole kids get more enjoyment out of the packaging the toy came in rather than the toy. Even at 8 months old I see this behavior.

Our toddler has a pile of nice toys. The other day I came home with two paper sacks full of groceries. Guess what's been her favorite toy all week?
You guessed it- two paper sacks.

Sounds about right. And if it's not him, it's the cats ignoring the toys and going for a bag or box.
That sounds like a very fun thing for the kids (and some of the parents too). I was kind of hoping the air boat guy was going to drive it across the lawn.
Looking at the bucket trucks and fire engine it appears they were having a mines bigger contest. I wish schools around here would do this. I'd be running around with the kids.
"Touch a Truck" is the thing around here. I took the critters to it a few years back and had a fine time (so did they).
