2018 RAV 4 has a water leak either around the sun roof or around the upper right corner of a replced windshield
Will get repaid in the fall.
Anyone use DampRid hanging bags to kill the musty smell?
Other options besides getting the leak repaired.
Vehicle sets outside of garage due to other projects inside
Thanks
Damp Rid in small bucket form is popular with boats owners. Keep a few down below in in a 35ft boat to keep things "fresher"
Your water problem is likely clogged sunroof drains or disconnected drain tube.
If you need real water remediation have you considered running a cord to inside the car and leaving a residential dehumidifier running in the car overnight?
Just don't pull the plastic membrane off of the damp rid bucket! I read instructions after I wrestled it off.
Smallish piece of plastic and rare earth magnets to hold it on? Obviously a bit of a pain if you drive it every day, but it will keep the water problem outside.
Thanks for the suggestions
If it runs, blast the AC on, on HEAT, with the doors closed.
These are generic DampRid containers but way less expensive. I've used these in a teardrop camper, my gun safe and multiple vehicles with great results.

On the earlier models ('06-12) , there were two issues. The A/C drain line can clog, and there was a TSB for leaking at the cowl. I'd get on Rav4world.com and see what are the popular sources of water leaks for that generation.
I have also used those DampRid buckets in cars, and it did suck up the water.
Has anyone tried the Drop in Tab gizmo?
