Don't forget the annual Annapolis versus Eastport tug o' war battle that occurs on the bridge as well. Annapolis is definitely a great setting, but I look forward to seeing Vaughn Gittin Jr and Bucky Lasek drift around the golden pineapples before blasting across back river on 150 while debating whether Essex or Dundalk is less E36 M3ty.

The Tug or "The Slaughter Across the Water" happens not at the bridge but more Charter House Restaurant (Second Street, Eastport) to Ego Alley parking lot or generally the parking lot that Travis lands in.
The distance of The Tug is larger than the distance of the .05K Bridge Run.

The 150mph jump was jaw-dropping. Trees & telephone poles everywhere...very little margin for error. Block looks more relaxed when he's doing bonkers stuff...but the jumps are pretty impressive.
I lived & worked in 'naptown. It's a pretty neat to see him take advantage of the features. I wish he had blasted up main street, around church circle and out west street...but of course crowd control would have been tough.
It's kind of nice to see this in Annapolis because the city (or a subset of residents) crushed his plan of hosting a nitro circus event at the Naval Academy stadium due to "noise."

I have wondered what incentivizes cities to allow this. I mean if one of these guys wanted to come to my town and close down a bunch of streets for a day(s) to make a bucketload of noise and smoke, I doubt I would be on board with it.

The second jump was cooler than the first one for me. It looks like there was a little down slope he was trying to make it to for a smooth landing but didnt quite make it.
Also the glowing exhaust at the end.
Also those are some crazy speeds for a two lane road in the woods.
I get the feeling these are things hes always wanted to try and now the police are blocking the roads and he has a jump machine. Loved it

The reason it got dusty, is back in 03 on that stretch of road he crashed his Corvette going in excess of 100 mph with a close friend in the car. There was significant permanent collateral damage, That Travis struggled with for years and his friend still lives with, and overcomes (thankfully) everyday. For him to revisit that stretch of road, at those speeds, anymore relatively controlled environment, meant a lot and was the topic of much debate.

At STPR last year, in an e30, we pegged it right at 99mph on a 900-yd (gravel) straight, trees so close on either side, car dancing every time it touched a little pile of gravel. I actually lifted 200yds early because I was really worried the car couldn't stay on track at those speeds. I fully expect the SRT cars did that straight in the neighborhood of 140mph, based on what some of the other high-power cars did (Pastrana wasn't there last year, but he's been there before and done that straight.
I'd say his 150mph on that road in the vid was probably child's play compared to 130-140 on gravel, for him.
The jump, on the other hand, is even crazier.

The high speed fly down the two-lane road and the jump over 6 feet at 150mph...wow.
The 9-year-old double backflip was badass for a sure and really cool way to end the video.

He just looks terrified of it every time the camera points at him. I found it enjoyable for some reason...and also give a ton of respect to Ken for being "Eh, no big deal" in all the other videos

Watch the in-car of Ken at NEFR 2 years ago (when the Cossie flipped and burned). Ken is anything but "cool as a cucumber" trying to get out of his car (pretty much in a panic). I suspect even these top rally guys get spooked/scared at certain points, maybe some just are better at not showing it when on video haha. Our own in-car is pretty funny. Half the time I look terrified, and half the time I have a big stupid grin on my face - neither of which seem to have any real relation to the terrain at the time. :)
I'm not sure if the rail slide was planned or not, but having to sight and place the vehicle between the finger piers to get that shot added to the impressive factor for me.
I had the opportunity to meet Travis, in a business meeting setting, a few years ago. My brief experience with him suggests he is the same person in real life as is depicted in interviews and videos; engaging, full of a zest for life, very personable, adrenaline junkie and just a load of fun to be around. I had a great time with much laughter. But watching his movements while walking, transitioning from standing to sitting and vice vs., etc..., suggests his body has taken a significant beating over the years.

In the video you can see there are quite a few go pros scattered around, presumably to make sure that at least one of them gets a clean shot & survives.

I absolutely agree. I met both Travis and Ken at the Ojibwa Forest rally in Bemidji, MN back in 08. Their cars were busted up and getting worked on at the mid point rally pit before the night stages but both were there happy and engaging to fans. Signing autographs, taking the 30sec to a min to actually chat with each person as they came through line, taking pictures. I had my little brother there and Travis was his hero at the time (what little kid into dirt bikes wouldn't) and he took that little bit of time to ask my brother about his riding, his bike, etc. I was kinda off to the side and Travis asked me if I wanted anything too (despite the line I "wasn't in"). Replied that I was good and was just here for my little brother. Got a huge smile, thumbs up and a "right on man" from Travis. I've been a fan since that moment and have huge respect for the guy who took the minute out of his day (while his car was damaged and in the middle of a rally) to make my little brother's day/month/year maybe. That autographed poster of Ken's Subaru jump with Travis back-flipping over it has traveled to multiple homes always displayed and now resides proud and center on brother's garage wall.
He made just as much smoke around City Dock as I did smoking cloves there in 1996.
Thats the best sounding subie I've ever heard....when it wasn't on the limiter the other 99% of the time.
