I don't think the Coyote is too far from the old 427 SOHC in terms of size. It's just insanely big.
BTW: For those wondering, this was the car in our booth at PRI in December.

The difference between four valve heads...they're really big...and two valve pushrod driven heads. The advantage with the four valve heads is of course breathing. Stock Coyote heads will out breath an FR NASCAR head no problem. The downside, is cost. Any chain driven multi-valve head motor will cost more in both development and manufacturing.
