One of the support races for the first F1 weekend in Austin was the Porsche GT3 Cup. Both were dominated by a teenager; each race won by about 30-35 seconds. That kid was Madison Snow, who developed into being one of the two IMSA GTD champion drivers at Paul Miller Racing. It has been fun watching him grow over the years with the guidance of Brian Sellers and the rest of the team.
The M4 GT3 cars are cool. Way more old-school IMSA in a lot of ways than some of the other GT3 machinery. While a lot of other manufacturers stick with most of the factory tub and just relocate the front and rear pickup points within the unibody, the M4s just use the driver compartment tub and the front and rear are fully tubular. It streamlines repairs and servicing, and probably made the evo kit way easier to integrate than other manufacturers' upgrade packages.
