There's a 1980 Nissan 200SX on Craigslist near me. I am intrigued because it's a vintage Japanese car, but turned off by the fact that the current owner describes it as having been "dropped" about 6 inches by cutting the coils. Looks? Not bad, but a 6 inch drop strikes me as extreme.
Now for the question: where do I find "stock" front springs? Moog lists the rear springs on several sites but so far: no front springs.

Junk yards would be the cheapest and most likely to have them.
And they won't be thick on the ground there either. Check and see if they crossover.
6" drop?
Aren't the coils like 10" tall when out of the car?
Wonder if the coils interchange (in diameter at least) with 240/280z and/or 510 coils. Wouldn't be surprised given the 200sx was a later model derivative of the original Datsun 510.
6" drop is not possible. The other thing that's not possible is finding parts for those. I bought one in about 2005 and it was a struggle then.
Springs should be pretty easy junkyard stuff, though. A tape measure and a critical eye will find what you need in a Celica or Cobalt or Volvo or Sentra or...
That's a shame. Guess you'll have to fab up some custom Koni inserts with Ground Control coilover sleeves...
This might help if you're not looking to keep it stock.
IF, if I bought this car I wouldn't necessarily have to return it to stock, but a 6 inch drop doesn't strike me as a practical setup...even here in pothole-free Florida.
What I also find amazing is that the seller says he has widened the wheels by a few inches as well.
I'm a sucker for oddball cars, but the lack of front end parts for this one is a bit disturbing.
