I like the way you think. And I REALLY like that Jag. The whole demon camber thing bothers me, but slammed out VIP cars are quite delectable IMO.

Now see, THIS is what I'm talking about! It looks good and it's low, but I'm sure that's a daily driver and it's nicely understated.
I think British cars respond especially well to the treatment.
Not really my cup of tea, but if I were looking to invest in a useless luxury car it would likely be similar to those.

I I don't know that I agree with that. I think the term has more transcended the genre. I'm sure that when the whole "VIP" thing started in Japan, it truly was about oppulence, as evidenced by the whole wood dashboard wet bar add ons and curtains and pillows and things you can get from places like Junction Produce. I think like ANY culture, as people push the boundaries more and more, it starts to lose the definition under which it was created. Take a look at Hellaflush as an example. People started with truly flushed cars (wheels on point, nice drop etc) and then the next guy wanted to go further, so the cars got lower, the wheels got wider, the offsets got more ridiculous, and you end up where you are now where if you don't have holes in your oil pan, 3 inches of poke, rare Froopoopter wheels, and -15* camber, you aren't hellaflush. VIP is kinda the same thing. Started with nice rims and curtains, now if you don't have 14" of lip, a 10k body kit, and a luck knot that cost 400$, you aren't VIP.
I had to Google "luck knot". After seeing some of the interior pictures, I am now sure I am definitely not a VIP fan.

I don't disagree in the least, a lot of it's kinda dumb. That Jag does not strike me as one of those things though. Well executed, VIP can be a good look. Poorly done.... well.... you know the results there.

That is kinda my point. The Jaguar, that blue Mercedes and the Rolls on the streets album look awesome but some of them make we want to puke. There is no in between.
I was unwilling to bag my W126 so it was low but not excessive. Also, I think larger than 16" wheels look jacked on most 80s cars so I stuck there.
Then I got this E55 but since it was leased just did wheels. I think this is the way to go. They are brutes(once you get past maint.) and can look good out of the box. Prefered the "old" AMG though...
I think the issue most of us(GRMers) have with the VIP look is that it doesn't serve a performance purpose. Just looks...
I really like this generation of M45, didn't see too many around but damn are they sharp.
The earlier Q45 lends itself to it well too.
Also don't see why the same treatment couldn't be applied to a GRM favorite, the P71.
I could see myself doing a nice 929 Mazda.
then getting really bored with it and selling at a huge loss.

Mazda 929s are selling for less than 3k. How huge of a loss could it be?
