Any ideas how long these are typically backordered? My car needs balljoints, so I figured I should do other suspension at the same time and align it all at once..

Ohh, dont be silly. Why would you call the people that sell them?
Yeah, just e-mail them. When I needed an engine rebuild kit, I e-mailed them and within a day they let me know they would be back by mid-March due to rod bearing shortages. Then I ended up not needing the kit because my machine shop literally gave me bearings and pistons and rings with the machine work.
The container ship with the vmaxx is probably the same one doing circles in the middle of the ocean with all the 15" RE71Rs.

I'm blown away by the number of people who treat this forum as a 'Hey Keith' public message system.
FM has always picked up the phone when I've called. I don't get why you wouldn't.
Yeah, and Keith's not even at work today. I feel like I shouldn't reply to this because it will be just enabling.
But how long are they usually on backorder? Depends on why they're on backorder. If it's for an NA application, it can often be the Mazda upper mounts and bushings that come with the kits. Those are usually very quick to restock. Easy way to check: see if the NB version is in stock. If so, then it's the upper mounts. Looks like NB V-Maxx are in stock right now so that's what's going on.
If it's the coilovers themselves, then it all depends on where we are in the delivery cycle. These things take a while from ordering to delivery, so we try to anticipate demand based on the last decade or so. We get it right most of the time, but if there was an unexpected surge then it could be a while.

I'm surprised you are "blown away" by my lack of calling. To help you figure out the complicated question of why I didn't call, it was after business hours. And I'm awfully impatient. Now that I think about it though, flyin miata is in a different time zone than I, so they were probably open. That's on me. I bumped it up I guess because I'm a lazy turd at times. I figured it would be safe to ask the question around here, as I'm sure a lot of people are also interested in the answer, and Keith usually has no problem replying to miata related topics, whether the question was directly asked of him or not. But whatev. I'm new around here, go easy on me.
Keith, if this bothered you I asked on the forum, please accept my apology.

Which makes me wonder, could I buy an nb set, and use it with my 94(ish) upper mounts? I imagine the na set uses nb upper mounts... and the nb setup assumes you already have them as they are not included...? Thanks, hope this doesn't bother anyone lol
The V-Max are designed to use NB upper mounts. They don't work with NA ones properly. So we include the mounts with NA sets and we assume that NB owners already have a set.
And yes, we were open when you first posted. And when you bumped it. You would have had a faster answer by calling

That's what I assumed, but I thought maybe there were other differences.
I wasn't thinking about the time zones ha. And yeah when I bumped it maybe I should have called. I have called before! I know several years ago you personally talked over the phone with me about the merits of swapping the wiring harness over to a 1.6 harness when I was rebodying my 1992 with a 1994 tub as I was installing the 1.6... I ended up changing to the 1.6 harness. And then ended up swapping in the 1.8 from yet another 1994... so I have a 1994 tub with a 1992 wiring harness and a 1994 engine...
I know how that can happen.
