Volunteer from Canada

My wife and I have rented a house in Daytona Beach for Jan,Feb and March 2010, just across the channel form GRM. I prefer to be kept busy no matter where I am and am willing to assist anyone on a car project, grassroots race team or sanctioning group as a volunteer. If anyone would like the assistance of a 63 year old friendly, fussy, sometime crotchety old motorsport hand, e-mail me at gelliott@eastlink.ca. I have been involved in road racing since 1971, stlll race my 70 Cortina GT( see Readers Rides), am a fairly good fabricator including design and have worked as a steward(Formula Ford) and Regional Chief Tech in my region. Also will have a spare bedroom or 2 available at a reasonable cost for those coming down for the 24 hr or speedweek..

Unfortunately, the commute would probably kill you.

I don't know, SVreX, I think you're a little closer than the commute from Nova Scotia to Daytona Beach.

I wonder how long the drive time is for that trip? And it would by I-95 almost the entire way. We will pray for you. You might want to consider the Autotrain from DC to Sanford FL. Whole lot less stress on both you and your car.
